my post-workout smoothie

The last thing you want to do right after exercising is eat a huge meal, but sometimes burning major calories leaves you feeing famished. That’s why I think a smoothie is the perfect post-workout snack. It fills you up, it’s delicious and it’s also easy to control what goes in it so you’re not sabotaging all the hard work you just did.
I love experimenting with new smoothie recipes. Start with fruit (fresh or frozen), juice and ice, and then add your choice of things like Greek yogurt, soy or almond milk, protein powder, peanut or almond butter, greens, avocado, agave and honey.
Here’s one of my favorite smoothie recipes:
1 ripe banana
1 cup frozen berries of your choice
½ cup Greek yogurt
¾ cup orange juice
1 Tbsp. honey
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
crushed ice (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
